Gareth Barry has reignited his love affair with Aston Villa, since the arrival of the charismatic figure head that is Martin O’Neill. Barry is undoubtedly Villa’s best player and after a boring couple of years with David O’Leary he’d had enough and was ready to walk out on the club he loves. Yet with the new life that O’Neill has breathed into the club, he has decided to pledge his future to the new regime, saying that he was very much looking forward to watching O’Neill work. Aaron Hughes has said that the new managers arrival has lifted the whole club. He said the he sees like an honest man and you know exactly where you stand with him. At the end of the day man management isn’t rocket science. It’s about getting the best out of the players you have and inspiring them to achieve the maximum possible. That is Martins strength he knows how to treat players. One commentator on Sky Sports News described O’Neil as: "…a instinctive and charismatic leader." I wouldn’t argue with that, and I really see no limit to the things he can do at Villa Park, so long as the finances are there to help him build his own team with the right standard of players. I think we’ll see a few Celtic old boys before the end of the year, and possibly even Robbie Savage. That wouldn’t go down to well in Leicester but that’s football.
