Calamity James has told Stuart Pearce he wishes to leave Manchester City with immediate effect. The man with holes in his gloves is believed to have a girlfriend in the South of England that he wishes to spend more time with, and I wouldn‘t be at all surprised if he turned up at Harry Redknapps Portsmouth within the next week or so. He is undoubtedly a great shot stopper but his inability to make commanding decisions has always cost him, but unbelievably for a period os time he was Sven‘s number 1. A decision which I personally never understood.

"David has expressed a wish to leave," confirmed City manager Stuart Pearce.

"It all depends on whether Portsmouth reach our valuation but in some ways I have to be prepared for the fact he will leave.

"I spoke with him when we were away in China. It is not an issue about Manchester City, there are other reasons why he wants to be in the south."

Pearce added finding a replacement would become a priority ahead of the new season with Nicky Weaver, Kasper Schmeichal and Joe Hart, a £600,000 summer signing from Shrewsbury, as present back-up to James.

The club have been heavily linked with Rennes' Swedish keeper Andreas Isaksson. If they managed to secure his services then David James would be a distant memory. This keeper is the real deal. Some of the saves he pulled out during the World Cup were simply astonishing. I for one would love to see him in the Premier League.

3 year contract for a 36 year old, fair enough he's done a bit of modelling but remember what happened to Seamen when he tried to play on too long. He became a laughing stock and not just for the shit hair do!!

Below the belt that one. Seamen saved a few penalties ten years ago, he deserves better than this. Just remember that it's not what you do but it's where you do it. The south coast is happening now, there's a new music seen called gabbA GOAL KEEPER beat. It's like trip hop and garage mixed with black metal but less formal, if you catch my vibe.
